I could write a lot about this excellent little book but type systems, object models, memory models and the like are very much the domain of the specialist rather than the ordinary working programmer. Most just hope that the system works for them and such questions as to whether a const int is or isn't a distinct type from an int will seem of little significance. For some an understanding of this arcane topic will matter and for them this is one of the few books that treat the problem at all let alone trying to grasp the complexities of a type system supporting both inheritance and polymorphism. If it matters to you this is a book that you should know about.
