Welcome to the Association of C & C++ Users book review section. This is a collation of over 2300 reviews that have appeared in the ACCU journals C Vu and Overload since January 1991. To get started, take a look at the help section.

ACCU Book of the Month: Each month the editor of C Vu will designate a 'ACCU Book of the Month'. Members can email editor[email details] with their own nominations which will be taken into account. Books do not have to be newly published but usually will be.
The Computer Books department of the Oxford branch of Blackwells Bookshops have agreed to discount the 'ACCU Book of the Month' by 10%. For ACCU UK resident members, this is in addition to the free postage offered. The 10% discount is open to all, regardless as to whether they are or are not members.

ACCU Book for February 12 till March 12: The C++ Standard Template Library by Plauger, Stepanov, Lee and Musser.

(Note to book retailers: ACCU would be very happy for other retailers to adopt a similar policy)

Clicking on the archive symbol   in the sub-indexes, allows you to download that section as a compressed archive for viewing off-line. This service is intended for users who wish to browse the reviews at their leisure without running up huge phone bills, or users with slow Internet links.

Recommendation tags have been added to all reviews. These direct you towards the worthwile books and highlight the ones to avoid.
